This project, like many others I've produced throughout my career, arose from a dream: the dream that if Africans were still being governed by their Kings and Queens of another era, and not by these greedy governments with uncommon cruelty in the way they treat their own people, perhaps the people wouldn't be suffering as they do. But in truth, it's just a dream, because history proves that slavery existed in Africa before the West arrived. Of course, nothing like the Western project, but there are accounts that in the beginning, African peoples were sold to Europeans by Africans themselves. But my despair was so great that I preferred to dream.
